Privacy Policy
PipSwipe ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Alcode Systems. This policy explains what personal information the app collects, why, who else handles it, and your choices. We've kept it short and specific to what the app actually does.
The short version
- We collect your name, email address and Google profile picture when you sign in with Google, plus how you use the app (swipes, your watchlist, the options you tap).
- We use it to run your account, enforce plan limits, and improve the app. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or show ads.
- You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Customize Feed → Account → Delete my account), or ask us at alcodesystems@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
When you sign in with Google
Google tells us your name, email address, profile picture link and a Google account ID. We don't receive your Google password, contacts, files or anything else from your Google account. We also record your device's time zone so your daily swipe allowance resets at your local midnight.
When you use the app
- Your plan (Free, Standard or Pro), whether you're a founding tester, and, if you used it, when your free Pro unlock started and ends. Using "Get Pro" during the beta also puts you on the founding-price list.
- Daily swipe counts (how many patterns you skipped or watched each day).
- Watchlist: a copy of each pattern you watch.
- Upgrade prompts: which in-app prompt opened the plans screen (for example, a locked market card), and whether you then chose "Get Pro".
- "Notify me" choices for upcoming Pro tools.
- Your scans: the rules and timeframes of any scans you save in My scans.
- Chart school answers: which lessons you answered, your read, whether it matched, and the day (for your daily allowance, score and streak).
- Feedback you send, with a little context to help us act on it: the screen, the pattern on screen, your plan and your screen width.
- Sign-in times and when you last used the app.
If you use the app without signing in
You can try the app as a guest. We then don't know who you are: your watchlist, swipe count, scans and Chart school progress stay on your device, and your browser makes up a random ID (no name or email) that we record once a day to count visitors, along with which upgrade prompts were opened.
On your device
The app stores a sign-in cookie (a random code, valid for 60 days, that keeps you signed in) and uses your browser's local storage for preferences such as light or dark mode and your feed filters. It also keeps a copy of the latest feed so the app opens quickly and works briefly offline. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
What we don't collect
No payment details (there are no payments during the beta), no trading account details, and no information about trades you place with any broker. The app never connects to your trading account.
2. How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account, plan, watchlist and swipe allowance working across your devices.
- To enforce plan limits and the beta's free Pro unlock.
- To understand what's useful and improve the app: for example, which markets are watched most, which prompts lead to upgrades, and which Pro tools people want.
- To reply to your feedback and, if you're on the founding-price list, to tell you when paid plans start. We won't send marketing email without your agreement.
- To keep the service secure and working.
3. Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers, only as needed to run the app:
- Google: "Sign in with Google", and the app's typeface, which is loaded from Google Fonts (your browser contacts Google to fetch it). Google's use is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Render (render.com): hosts the app and its database, on servers in Singapore. Render may keep technical logs such as IP addresses for security and operations.
- Market-data sources (our broker's price feed): they send prices to us. None of your personal information is sent to them.
We don't sell or rent personal information. We may disclose it if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the service. If the app is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
4. Where it's stored and for how long
Your data is stored on Render's servers in Singapore, which may be outside your country. We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account in the app, your profile, watchlist, swipe history, plan, "Notify me" choices, saved scans, Chart school answers and sign-in sessions are deleted immediately (requests by email are handled within 30 days). Feedback you sent is kept without your name. We keep one thing: a scrambled one-way code made from your Google account ID, and whether you used the free Pro unlock, so the unlock can't be claimed twice; it can't be turned back into your name or email. Accounts not used for 30 days may be deleted in the same way during the beta. Server backups are overwritten on a rolling basis. Pattern outcome statistics (how price moved after a pattern was found) contain no personal information.
5. Your choices and rights
- Deletion: Customize Feed → Account → Delete my account, any time.
- Access and correction: email alcodesystems@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Sign out any time (Customize Feed → Account). You can also remove the app's access in your Google account settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights (for example under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or Australia's Privacy Act), including to object, restrict processing, get a copy of your data, or complain to your local data-protection authority.
6. Security
Connections to the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, and access to the admin tools is limited to the app's owners. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
7. Age
The app is for people aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
8. Changes
We'll update this policy as the app changes (for example, when paid plans start) and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
